How do I get help with Easy AI Act Image Labels?
I am Easy AI Act Image Labels, the labeling app by lakör. Here is how to get help, what support solves and where it stops.
What is the fastest way to get help?
The chat in the bottom right corner of the app. I answer right away, know your app’s state (settings, last scan, theme app embed) and check the usual causes. If I get stuck, if there is a bug, or if you want to talk to a person, I hand your request over to lakör. The reply appears in the same chat, usually on the same business day, Monday to Friday.
If you prefer email: ai-act-labels@lakoer.de, same response time.
Do not share passwords in the chat or by email. I never ask for them, nor does lakör.
What should I include?
- Your store address (
your-store.myshopify.com) - What you expected and what happened instead
- For label issues in your store: the link to the affected page and your theme name (Shopify admin, Online Store, Themes)
In the chat you can skip the store address and theme name; both travel with the request when I hand it over to lakör. A description of the problem is enough.
Which problems does support solve?
- The scan does not finish or stays at “waiting for Shopify”. Usually another app is using Shopify’s bulk export, which only one app can use at a time. I keep retrying automatically. If it takes longer than an hour, get in touch.
- The label does not appear in the store. First check the “Getting started” checklist in the overview: images confirmed, theme app embed turned on and saved, page type turned on under “Display and placement”. The label also needs an active plan (development stores need none); the plan page shows where you stand. If everything is green and the label is still missing, send me the page link. Some themes load images in a way I do not recognize yet; lakör looks at how the theme does it and adds support for it.
- The label is missing on some images. If the image card in “AI detection” says “Out of quota”, the image is outside your plan’s quota; the plan page shows which plan covers all your images. If it is still listed under “Pending”, it is waiting for your confirmation.
- The label sits in the wrong corner or is too large. You can change the corner and size for each location under “Display and placement”. If that is not enough, I need theme name and page link.
- After a theme change the label is gone. That is expected: each theme has its own theme app embed settings. The overview shows a notice with a button that takes you to the theme editor.
- I proposed a label for an image that is not AI-generated. Reject the proposal in “AI detection”. The back of the image card shows which marker I found and which tool wrote it.
What does support not cover?
- Whether an image must be labeled. That is a legal question about your store. I give implementation help, not legal advice. The FAQ explains the basic rules; for your specific case, ask a lawyer.
- Images without a provenance marker. I only find what the generating tool wrote into the original file. A missing marker says nothing about whether an image is AI-generated. If you know an image is AI-generated, add it by hand in “AI detection”.
- Other channels. The label does not reach marketplaces, social media, newsletters, headless storefronts or images your theme loads as CSS backgrounds. You add the label on those channels yourself.
- Changes to your theme code. I never write to your theme, not even on request. lakör can neither read nor change your theme code unless you grant collaborator access in Shopify yourself. I only read whether the theme app embed is turned on in your theme settings.
What happens if my theme needs a fix?
If your theme loads images in its own way, a person at lakör has to look into it and, if needed, add a small fix. That requires collaborator access with the “Themes” permission, which you grant in Shopify yourself, not in the app:
- Shopify admin, Settings, Users, “Security” tab, “Collaborators” section: there you will find your four-digit collaborator request code. If it says anyone can send a request, lakör needs no code. The request code is not a password; neither I nor lakör need your password.
- Enter the code in the access card in the chat; the card appears only in requests that have been handed over to lakör. I delete the code once the request is sent, when you withdraw it, or after 14 days at the latest.
- lakör sends a request from the Shopify Partner Dashboard with your store address, the code and the “Themes” permission. You confirm it in Shopify and see exactly what is requested.
- Under Shopify’s rules, access expires after 90 days without use (as of September 10, 2026). You can revoke it at any time under Settings, Users. Withdrawing in the chat deletes only the code, not access already granted.
What lakör does with the access is stated in the chat beforehand and limited to the agreed fix.
Read access is a different thing: in the chat you can allow lakör, for a single support request, to view products, files and theme settings for seven days through the app’s existing read-only access. It is revocable in the chat at any time, gives no access to your theme code and does not replace collaborator access.
How do I uninstall the app?
Shopify admin, Apps, Easy AI Act Image Labels, Uninstall. All labels disappear; images, products and theme stay as they were. Your data at lakör is deleted after uninstall, details in the privacy policy. Uninstalling cancels a running subscription; you are not charged again, and there is no pro-rata refund for the current billing period. On the annual plan the paid year runs to its end.
Related questions
How fast does lakör reply?
In the chat I answer right away. If I hand your request over to lakör or you write by email, the reply usually comes on the same business day, Monday to Friday. There is no fixed response time I can promise.
Do I need a plan for the label to be visible?
Yes, the label appears in your store only with an active plan; development stores need none. The plan page in the app shows where you stand.
Why is the label missing on some images only?
Usually the image is outside your plan’s quota (notice “Out of quota”) or it is waiting under “Pending” for your confirmation. You see both in “AI detection”.
Does lakör write to my theme?
The app never does. A person at lakör can only do so with collaborator access with the “Themes” permission, which you grant in Shopify yourself and can revoke at any time.
What happens to my data after uninstall?
Shopify invalidates the access token immediately, and I delete it at the same moment. The rest of your store’s data is deleted when Shopify sends its deletion request, at the latest 30 days after uninstall; details in the privacy policy.
Does support tell me whether an image must be labeled?
No. That is a legal question about your store, and lakör gives no legal advice. I help with the implementation; the FAQ explains the basic rules.
